Swimming water and water quality

Our site at De Pietersplas is an officially approved swimming location. (Small) children are only allowed to play in the water under supervision.

Water quality assessment

The government enforces laws and regulations to ensure the quality of surface water and groundwater. Between 1 May to 1 October, the Waterschap Limburg (The Limburg Water Board) checks the swimming water quality for contamination by bacteria, waste, discharges and the presence of blue-green algae.
